Ms. Galuppo’s experience encompasses virtually every type of real estate agreement and relationship, including partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, REITs, and has represented them on claims involving unfair competition, fraud, breach of contract, commercial unlawful detainers, quiet title, partnership disputes, purchase and sale and lease disputes, easement and neighbor boundary disputes, receiverships, foreclosures, environmental claims, Interstate Land Sales Act (ILSA), Subdivided Lands Act (SLA), among many others. The ability to vigorously advocate a client’s position successfully through trial in federal and state trial and appellate courts is shown through the many litigation matters handled by our litigator, including:
Complex Commercial, Fraud and Unfair Competition Litigation
Our litigator has handled cases involving fiduciary duty issues, business judgment rule cases, fraud, fraudulent transfers, securities litigation, the Unfair Business Practices Act (the UCL), and defense of consumer class actions. Of notable mention, our litigator was integral in obtaining defense judgments in favor of a developer of a condo hotel in San Diego, California against certified and putative class actions.
General Business Litigation
Our litigator has developed expertise in matters where the management, operation, organization or control of businesses are at issue, whether those businesses are sole proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, joint ventures or other entity structure. She has handled a broad array of general business disputes, including breach of contract, partnership and fiduciary disputes, accounting, disposition and sale of business assets and partnership interests, business records inspections, and so on. We seek and defend against prejudgment remedies, including attachments, receivers and injunctions.
Real Estate and Leasing Litigation
Our litigator has represented residential and commercial developers, hotel and fractional interest developers, property owners, property managers, commercial landlords, lenders, REITS, affordable housing developers, and contractors. Through such representation, our litigator has gained extensive experience with virtually every type of real estate agreement and relationship and is highly knowledge about real estate business. She has handled disputes including commercial unlawful detainers, quiet title, partnership disputes, purchase and sale and lease disputes, easement and neighbor boundary disputes, receiverships, foreclosures, environmental claims, Interstate Land Sales Act (ILSA), Subdivided Lands Act (SLA), among many others. She also maintains environmental law matters. Uniquely, our litigator combined her significant securities and real estate litigation background and defended securities-related real estate matters, including successfully handling nearly a decade of condo-hotel litigation.
Appellate Practice
GLG’s practice also includes handling extensive civil appellate matters. Our litigator has handled numerous appeals and writs before the Ninth Circuit and the California Appellate Courts. Our litigator has been responsible for all aspects of the briefing on appeals and has argued before the Ninth Circuit and the California Appellate Court. Her appeals have involved complex legal issues involving the Interstate Land Sales Act (ILSA), Subdivided Lands Act (SLA), viability of purchase and sale agreements, attorneys’ fees awards, contract disputes, among others.
